Description
This is a revised and simplified version of the vintage Danish Stars pattern popular in the 1930’s, sometimes also called Periwinkle. You’ll be surprised how simple this quilt is pieced together using a very basic paper foundation and no tricky seams. Even the border is fun and easy. Quilt size 75”x 75”. Block size is 7½” finished.
Fabric Requirements
- 7½ yards background fabric
- 12 fat quarters (minimum) of various prints for periwinkle block and harlequin border. You could use more prints for greater variety.
- ¾ yard for quilt binding or 2” strips cut from fat quarters
- 5 yards for quilt backing
